Goldman Sachs added Dutch payment processor Adyen, German utility RWE and German insurer Talanx to its September European Conviction List – Directors' Cut, which tracks the bank's buy-rated European equities. Enel, Wise, Hannover Re and Zalando were removed. Goldman sees 77% upside for Adyen, 28% based on a €75 target for RWE and 13% based on a €141 target for Talanx. The bank cited Adyen's integrated payments platform, new client ramps and exposure to agentic commerce; RWE's grid investments, renewable-energy returns, potential data-center deals and LNG opportunities; and Talanx's international retail insurance growth, acquisition capacity and resilience reserves. Goldman also added Vertex Pharmaceuticals to its U.S. Conviction List and removed Interactive Brokers, leaving 23 U.S. names. Analysts highlighted Vertex's potential expansion across cystic fibrosis, pain, kidney disease and hematology, with the proposed Crinetics Pharmaceuticals acquisition potentially adding endocrinology as a fifth opportunity area.
