Glen Burnie Bancorp, the parent company of The Bank of Glen Burnie, named John Stamato to its board of directors on Sept. 1, 2026. Stamato, a lifelong Anne Arundel County resident and Severna Park resident, has more than 30 years of experience in residential and commercial land development across Maryland and Delaware. He founded and serves as president of Millersville-based Ribera Development, LLC, which focuses on land-use entitlements for residential and mixed-use projects. Mark C. Hanna, President and CEO of Glen Burnie Bancorp and The Bank of Glen Burnie, said Stamato would bring local business relationships, new perspectives and ideas as the bank expands its commercial banking capabilities. Board Chairman Jay Baldwin highlighted Stamato’s real estate development experience and ability to identify opportunities and guide projects. The Bank of Glen Burnie operates six Anne Arundel County branches and a loan production office in Annapolis.
