Scorpio Gold began trading American Depositary Shares on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the ticker SGLD on Sept. 1, driving a sharp rise in the company’s stock. Each ADS represents 20 common shares, with The Bank of New York Mellon acting as depositary. The ADS program complements Scorpio Gold’s existing listings on the TSX Venture Exchange, OTCQB Venture Market and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The structure allowed the company to meet Nasdaq’s initial listing requirements without a share consolidation, while shareholders can convert common shares into ADSs through their brokers. ADS issuance fees are waived through Nov. 25. Scorpio Gold shares were up 186.42% at $14.55 at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
