Jim Cramer used the Mad Money lightning round to discuss Applied Materials, Velo3D, KLA Corporation and General Dynamics. He said investors considering Applied Materials should focus on its future rather than their purchase price and could initiate a small position after the stock fell $300 from its high. Applied Materials closed down 3.6% at $441.85, while UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri maintained a Buy rating and raised his price target from $675 to $695. Cramer said Velo3D had not delivered the revenue growth he expected and advised waiting for several more solid quarters; the company reported second-quarter revenue of $20.66 million, up 52.3% year over year, and an adjusted loss of 30 cents per share. He called KLA a great company with strong intellectual property but said its price-to-earnings multiple remained high after a 40% year-to-date gain. KLA closed at $170.89, while Arcuri maintained a Neutral rating and cut the target from $215 to $200. Cramer advised against investing in General Dynamics all at once because efforts to control the budget deficit could include military spending, and said Lockheed Martin remained his favorite in the group.
