Shinsegae Property, the real estate developer under Shinsegae Group, is developing Aman Seoul at the former Prima Hotel site in Seoul’s Cheongdam-dong, marking Aman’s first entry into South Korea. The project broke ground in April and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2030. It will span eight basement levels and 38 above-ground floors, with approximately 70,000 square meters of gross floor area, and include a hotel, 49 branded residences, retail and cultural spaces, and a members-only Aman Club with a swimming pool, fitness center and lounge. Shinsegae Property will oversee planning, strategy and development, while Aman will participate in design, architecture and operations and manage the completed hotel, residences and community facilities under a long-term management agreement. The project follows a July joint venture agreement between Shinsegae Group and OKO Group, the development arm of Aman Group, to pursue Aman and Janu hotel and residence projects in South Korea and overseas. Aman, founded in 1988, operates hotels, resorts and residences in 21 cities, including Tokyo, New York and Bangkok.
