Com2uS shares rose 7.25% to 37,000 won in early trading on September 2 after its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Zeus: God of Arrogance, reached the top revenue position on both major app stores. The stock reached an intraday high of 38,800 won. Published by Com2uS and developed by Averton, the game was released on August 26 and topped Apple’s App Store on launch day before reaching No. 1 on Google Play the following morning. It held the top revenue ranking on both platforms through its first weekend. Kiwoom Securities raised its target price for Com2uS to 50,000 won from 47,000 won and maintained a buy rating. The brokerage projected daily average revenue of 1.5 billion won for Zeus in the third quarter, with estimates of 960 million won for this year and 470 million won for next year. Analyst Kim Jin-koo said the title’s business model and graphics quality were supporting revenue above previous estimates. Longer-term performance will depend on the sustainability of user metrics, monetization and the management of mid-to-small-scale paying users.
