The Robinhood Chain ecosystem’s $1 meme coin surpassed a $5 million market capitalization and reached as high as $5.9 million after gaining more than 990-fold over 24 hours, according to GMGN data. The token’s narrative centers on a planned $1 Trump commemorative coin linked to the United States’ 250th anniversary. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the coin was being minted in Philadelphia for an autumn launch, with Trump’s portrait on one side and a bald eagle from the presidential seal on the other. Earlier reports had identified the token as JOHNDOG, associated with Robinhood’s John Dog character, and recorded lower market capitalizations, including more than $3 million and about $2.39 million after a reported gain exceeding 650%. Odaily warned that meme coins are highly volatile and vulnerable to market sentiment and topical events.
