The New York Rangers are continuing their offensive makeover by agreeing to a one-year contract with winger Eeli Tolvanen, according to reports. PuckPedia valued the deal at $1.5 million. Tolvanen, 27, scored 12 goals and 36 points with a minus-18 rating in 78 games for the Seattle Kraken last season. His goal total was his lowest since 2021-22 with the Nashville Predators, while his points total ranked second-highest in his career. Across eight NHL seasons, he has recorded 92 goals and 98 assists with a minus-37 rating in 423 games. The move follows New York's recent roster changes, including acquiring Pavel Dorofeyev from the Vegas Golden Knights for two first-round picks and a third-round pick, trading Vincent Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth for defenseman Sean Durzi, forward Cole Beaudoin and two third-round draft choices, and trading Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings last season.
