A fake website claiming to offer a downloadable leak of Rockstar Games’ upcoming GTA 6 title is distributing malware aimed at cryptocurrency wallets (digital accounts holding crypto), U.Today reported. Malwarebytes, a cybersecurity firm, said the site requests either $50 or 1 SOL for access before asking users to connect a wallet. Approving the fraudulent transaction could expose both the payment and other cryptocurrency stored in the wallet. The campaign covers Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base and Phantom. Separately, an anonymous hacker who had leaked unreleased GTA 6 footage promoted CYBERLEEK, a Solana-based memecoin (cryptocurrency driven by online hype), and sold the entire holding shortly before official gameplay footage was released.
