Frieze Seoul began its fifth edition Wednesday at Coex in southern Seoul, opening to VIPs and the press one day before the public. The fair brought 133 galleries from 30 countries and regions and runs through Saturday, marking the start of the city's biggest annual art event. Kiaf Seoul is sharing the venue for the fifth consecutive September since 2022, with its 25th edition featuring 175 galleries from 18 countries. The preview drew crowds of collectors, while gallery staff held discussions with clients behind booth walls.
