South Africa’s Aspen Pharmacare reported a 22% increase in normalised earnings, driven mainly by strong momentum in its commercial pharmaceuticals unit. Normalised headline earnings per share (HEPS), a company profit measure excluding certain items, rose to 801.5 cents in the year ended June 30 from 659.2 cents a year earlier. On a constant exchange-rate basis, HEPS increased 28%.
