XRP declined about 27% from the start of 2026 through September 1, even as activity on the XRP Ledger, or XRPL (the XRP Ledger blockchain), expanded. Average daily transactions rose 21% to about 2.4 million during the January-to-July period. Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin (a token designed to maintain a stable value) also increased its share of issuance on XRPL, reaching about $907.2 million in July, or 58.9% of its total supply. Bitcoin.com reported that stablecoins, tokenized assets and institutional financial infrastructure are expanding despite XRP's weaker price performance.
