The second Costa Rica Trade & Investment Summit (CRTIS) opened in San José on Sept. 2, 2026, bringing together delegations from more than 40 countries and over 1,000 companies operating in Costa Rica. During the three-day event, participants are scheduled to hold more than 3,600 tailored business meetings focused on purchasing, sourcing and investment opportunities. PROCOMER, Costa Rica's trade and investment promotion agency, developed agendas around individual commercial priorities. Costa Rica is presenting an export economy led by services, medical devices and agriculture, which represent 34%, 31% and 11% of its export offering, respectively. Costa Rican exports reached $13.821 billion between January and July 2026, up 5% from the same period in 2025. More than 1,000 companies linked to foreign direct investment operate in the country and generate 312,000 jobs. The summit's first edition in 2025 led to $33 million in closed business deals identified through follow-up by PROCOMER.
