BitGo opened a new Singapore office on September 2 to serve as its Asia-Pacific regional base, combining an office move with additional hiring and expansion in institutional trading. The company said its APAC client base has tripled since BitGo Singapore received a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in August 2024, while local headcount has more than doubled. Singapore hosts the largest trading desk within BitGo Prime, whose volumes more than doubled in the first half of 2026 from a year earlier. BitGo plans to continue hiring for client coverage and business operations roles. The subsidiary provides regulated Digital Payment Token services and offers custody, trading, settlement and token-management capabilities to institutional customers. In June 2026, BitGo appointed Angela Ang, a former Monetary Authority of Singapore official, as Managing Director of APAC and President of BitGo Singapore, and partnered with dtcpay on digital-asset custody, trading and merchant settlement. BitGo also reported 104% global year-over-year client growth to 5,322 clients by the end of 2025.
