Upbit Singapore said it will list Global Dollar (USDG), a fiat-backed stablecoin (digital token backed by traditional currency), on its USDT market using the Solana network at 15:00 SGT on 4 September. Ask orders will be disabled for the first five minutes, while orders priced more than 10% below the reference price will be rejected. The reference price is USDG's previous-day CoinMarketCap closing price of 0.9995 USDT. USDG is issued by Paxos Digital Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Paxos Issuance Europe Oy. Subject to Paxos onboarding and verification, eligible customers may issue or redeem USDG for U.S. dollars at 1 USDG to 1 USD. Paxos says the redemption assets include cash, government money market funds and U.S. Treasury obligations, with monthly attestations detailing token and reserve values.
