Shinhan Financial Group's Youth Future Bridge Loan exceeded its annual target ahead of schedule, with Shinhan Smile Microcredit Foundation originating 782 loans worth 2.401 billion won through the 26th of last month, or 109.1% of its 2.2 billion-won goal. The loan offers up to 5 million won at an annual interest rate of 4.5% to unemployed people aged 19 to 34, recent workers or new business operators who meet specified credit and income criteria. Shinhan will also provide faithful repayers with up to 3 million won in repayment-linked asset-building support. The initiative follows Chairman Jin Ok-dong's second-term reappointment and an additional 100 billion-won contribution to the foundation. Shinhan reported record first-half earnings of 3.4427 trillion won, while outlining a plan to supply 110 trillion won between 2026 and 2030; KB Financial Group remained ahead with first-half net profit of 3.8846 trillion won.
