Lighter’s LIT token rose more than 15% over 48 hours, moving from below $3.50 to above $3.94, while OKX quoted it at 4.42 USDT, up more than 15.16% over 24 hours. LIT has continued to struggle to break the $4 level after an 110% August rally and has traded below that threshold since late August. The Relative Strength Index entered overbought territory, while the Average True Range flattened and declined, indicating that volatility has eased. Lighter reported approximately $39.5 billion in August trading volume, open interest above $1 billion and a rising share of global perpetual-contract volume. A Robinhood-Lighter platform generated about $5 billion in volume, surpassed 21,000 accounts and produced roughly $500,000 in fees during the month. Lighter also repurchased 927,800 LIT. Separately, the exchange reported August revenue of $2.62 million, up 24% from $2.14 million, and fees of $3.5 million, up 30% from $2.7 million. Most revenue goes toward LIT buybacks, although a sustained move above $4 may depend on stronger volume, renewed volatility, broader crypto-market conditions and the Federal Reserve’s September 15 rate decision.
