VodafoneThree has launched Vodafone TV in Britain, adding streaming, broadcast and gaming content to its broadband offer as it competes with Sky, Virgin Media and BT. The operator also introduced SuperMobile, a premium mobile service offering speeds of up to four times faster and a guaranteed minimum download speed of 15 Mbps in 5G+ coverage. SuperMobile uses FastTrack, a network slice (dedicated capacity for selected traffic) that prioritizes customers’ data, and costs an extra £3 ($4.05) a month for pay-monthly customers on full-speed Xtra plans. A business version is also being launched, backed by what VodafoneThree described as Britain’s first national business-only mobile network slice. The announcements follow rival EE’s launch of its Fast Lane product last month and Vodafone’s pledge to invest £11 billion in its British network after merging with Hutchison’s Three in 2025.
