DWF Labs announced that a group entity has received VASP approval from the BVI FSC under the Virtual Assets Service Providers Act 2022. The registration authorizes the entity to exchange virtual assets and provide financial services related to an issuer’s offer or sale of a virtual asset. This enables institutional clients to access regulated OTC trading and market making, including spot trading of digital assets and stablecoins, through the BVI entity. The approval supports the firm’s investment, incubation and ecosystem development activities for token issuers and digital asset projects. DWF Labs has increasingly focused on markets connected with tokenized traditional assets. The firm expects further growth in real-world asset perpetual markets as on-chain venues expand trading in stocks, commodities and other traditional assets according to a report by The Crypto Times on August 29. The British Virgin Islands represents more than 10% of the global tokenized U.S. Treasuries market with $1.5 billion in distributed value as of June 1, while RWA.xyz reported $15.92 billion globally as of September 3. BVI-domiciled entities facilitate more than $1.2 billion in active, circulating stablecoins. DWF Labs said it will continue expanding its regulatory footprint across key global markets.
