Cipher Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: CIFR) began developing lateral pipelines at multiple sites to connect its facilities with nearby natural-gas supplies and support up to 2.5 gigawatts (GW) of on-site power generation. The company will work with power providers to develop the required generation infrastructure and is targeting power availability before the end of 2027. Cipher plans to use the capacity to expand and lease industrial-scale data centers to major tenants for high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. The shares rose 11.99% to $17.00 at publication as Bitcoin climbed to $80,000 and broader markets advanced. Federal Reserve Gov. Christopher Waller said he was inclined to support keeping interest rates steady, easing concerns about tighter monetary policy that can weigh on speculative assets and crypto-linked stocks. CIFR remained below its 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages but traded above its 20-day average, while its relative strength index was neutral at 47.86. The company has also said it plans to seek grid connections for the new generation capacity and identified regulatory, competitive, execution and business-model risks in its forward-looking statements.
