Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the exchange is in active discussions with BlackRock and other major Wall Street firms about expanding distribution of their products into Asian markets, with talks centered on tokenized exchange-traded funds and blockchain-based money market products. Chen described particularly close communication with BlackRock and said she is engaging Wall Street firms on where collaboration could work, framing crypto exchanges as efficient distribution channels for investors who already hold both digital assets and traditional equities. BlackRock confirmed regular engagement with the crypto ecosystem but declined to comment on specific expansion plans, and the comments describe an exploratory relationship rather than a signed distribution agreement. Asia's blockchain-based crypto-asset transactions grew 69% year-on-year by June 2025, the highest rate among regions, an OECD report said. BlackRock manages $15.3 trillion in client assets; Nicholas Peach has said a 1% allocation to crypto from Asia's estimated $108 trillion in household wealth could generate nearly $2 trillion in inflows. Bitget has 125 million registered users globally, about half in East and Southeast Asia, and company data shows 52% of users hold both crypto and traditional stocks. The discussions follow Chen's May 2026 meeting in New York with BlackRock COO Rob Goldstein, where she presented her 10% Vision for tokenized assets.
