Ethereum rose more than 5% in 24 hours to trade above $2,500 on Friday, extending a monthly gain of more than 35% and outperforming Bitcoin's nearly 27% advance over the same period. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market value has been supported by renewed demand for U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds, which drew more than $1 billion in net inflows over the past nine trading days despite a $48.2 million outflow on September 2. BitMine Immersion Technologies also added more than $133 million of ETH, its largest purchase since June. Kalshi traders raised the probability of Ethereum reaching $2,750 during September to 42%, from below 30% before Thursday's rally, while assigning an 18% chance of a move above $3,000. Traders put the odds of ETH exceeding $3,500 by year-end at 30% and $4,000 at 17%, even as they priced the CLARITY Act becoming law before January 1, 2027 at 19%. Earlier in the rebound, ETH reached $2,508 after recovering from about $2,370, while spot ETF inflows, expanding derivatives activity and short liquidations accompanied the move.
