The expiry included 29,600 Bitcoin options worth $2.39 billion, with a put-call ratio of 0.65 and a maximum pain point of $73,000, and 139,000 Ethereum options worth $350 million, with a put-call ratio of 0.9 and a maximum pain point of $2,400. Bitcoin continued consolidating near $80,000 after a sharp rally two weeks earlier. Monthly realized volatility rose to 40%, while monthly implied volatility fell to 36%; the 15-day volatility risk premium recovered to minus 6% from minus 16% a day earlier. Greeks.live said 7% of options expired during the week, Bitcoin open interest increased, Ethereum open interest declined and overall trading activity rose sharply. The updated figures revise an earlier estimate of roughly $2.9 billion, including $2.495 billion in Bitcoin options.
