Philippine manufacturing production increased 9.6% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from an upwardly revised 13.9% in June, while industrial activity grew 8.6% in the January-July period. Latvia’s industrial production declined 0.2% year-on-year, reversing a 0.5% increase in June and marking its first annual contraction since March 2025, even as manufacturing output accelerated to 8.2% from 5.0%. In the Philippines, slower growth in petroleum, electronics, food and transport output weighed on the result, while chemicals, machinery excluding electrical equipment, and pharmaceuticals contracted. In Latvia, weaker electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply offset stronger manufacturing and continued mining and quarrying growth; monthly industrial activity rose 0.1%.
