Lighter reported about $39.5 billion in August trading volume, with open interest (value of active contracts) exceeding $1 billion. Its share of global perpetual-contract (derivatives without expiry) trading volume continued to rise month over month. A standalone trading platform developed through Lighter's partnership with Robinhood also expanded, recording about $5 billion in volume, more than 21,000 accounts and approximately $500,000 in total trading fees during the month. Lighter repurchased 927,800 LIT in August. OKX quoted Lighter at 4.42 USDT, up more than 15.16% over 24 hours.
