The Trade Desk plans to eliminate about 15% of its global workforce, affecting approximately 575 employees across more than 21 countries, as part of a restructuring announced on September 3, 2026. The company expects most reductions to be substantially completed in the third quarter and estimates $39 million to $51 million in cash restructuring and related charges, partly offset by a $4 million to $5 million reversal of stock-based compensation. The move follows weak second-quarter results, including earnings of 34 cents per share versus a 40-cent consensus estimate and revenue of $715.06 million against expectations of $751.39 million. Trade Desk shares were down 4.21% at $14.46 in Friday trading. Analysts have a Hold rating and an average price forecast of $16, while the stock remains in a longer-term downtrend and has fallen 71.75% over 12 months.
