Campbell’s cut its quarterly dividend 36% to $0.25 per share, the first reduction since October 2001, after fiscal 2026 results showed sharp weakness in its Snacks business. Fourth-quarter revenue was $2.137 billion versus $2.144 billion expected, down 7.9% year over year, while Snacks revenue fell 12% to $950 million, organic sales declined 6% and segment operating earnings dropped 34%. A $117 million impairment involving the Cape Cod and Kettle Brand trademarks pushed GAAP EPS to a loss of $0.23, although adjusted EPS was $0.39 versus $0.3889 expected. Campbell’s shares closed at $22.13 on September 3, down 7%, and later traded at $21.40, down $0.73. Fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS guidance is $1.65 to $1.80, with net sales projected to decline 4% to 2%. Chief Executive Mick Beekhuizen and Chief Financial Officer Todd Cunfer are scheduled to discuss execution, demand, margins, savings and balance-sheet priorities at Barclays’ consumer staples conference on September 9.
