Baidu said its Class A ordinary shares traded on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited will enter the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program on September 7, 2026. The move follows a September 4 notice from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and will allow eligible investors in the Chinese Mainland to trade the shares directly through the link. Baidu said the inclusion should broaden its investor base and improve share liquidity. The company, founded in 2000, trades under BIDU on Nasdaq and 9888 on HKEX, with one ADS representing eight Class A ordinary shares. The company also cautioned that its forward-looking statements are subject to risks including competition, business execution, litigation, regulation and economic conditions.
