AtomVie Global Radiopharma has opened a purpose-built manufacturing facility at 10 Aeropark Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario, following an investment of more than $160 million. The 72,300-square-foot site is described as the largest single-site contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) facility in North America for radiopharmaceutical development to date. It supports low-to-high throughput production and increases AtomVie’s manufacturing capacity by more than tenfold, allowing radiopharmaceutical programs to advance from early development through commercial manufacturing. AtomVie, a spinout of the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization at McMaster University, has supported more than 70 clinical development and technology transfer programs, produced over 1,000 cGMP batches and delivered more than 4,400 cGMP doses across 28 countries and six continents, with a delivery success rate above 99%. The company is targeting more than 200 employees by the end of 2026 as the site scales toward full operations.
