BTCC, the world’s longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, has been featured in a newly published case study by Sumsub, a global verification and fraud prevention platform. The study examines BTCC’s compliance infrastructure and says its integration with Sumsub supports onboarding in more than 100 countries, delivers a median verification time of approximately three seconds and reduces manual compliance reviews by more than 40 hours per week. Automated processes cover KYC (identity verification), AML (anti-money-laundering) screening, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule compliance and crypto monitoring. BTCC says the controls support real-time detection of high-risk activity while allowing legitimate users to access the platform with less friction. Founded in 2011, BTCC is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026 and says it has an unblemished security record supported by monthly Proof of Reserves reports and a $25.5 million risk reserve fund. The exchange serves more than 12 million users across over 100 countries and is the official regional sponsor of the Argentine Football Association.
