BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo contributed £4 million to Reform UK in April through two payments of £1 million and £3 million. Electoral Commission records show Reform received about $7.3 million in donations during the second quarter of 2026, making Delo’s contribution roughly 75% of the total. Delo had also given about $5.3 million in the first quarter. The donations have drawn additional attention as party leader Nigel Farage faces scrutiny over contributions from cryptocurrency-industry figures. Delo co-founded BitMEX, pleaded guilty in 2022 to violating the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act over anti-money-laundering failures and received a pardon from Donald Trump in 2025.
