Ether traded at $2,508.45, up 4.1% in 24 hours, as an anonymous large holder appeared to sell its entire 167,855 ETH position worth about $408 million through OKX, Binance and Bybit between Aug. 30 and Sept. 4. The token had struggled to reclaim the $2,500 resistance level since February 2026, while its relative strength index eased from overbought conditions toward the 60-to-70 range. Ethereum’s MVRV moved above 1.00 on Aug. 21, 2026, after remaining below that level for 200 consecutive days, as ETH recovered above its realized price of around $2,300. U.S. spot ether ETFs recorded approximately $141 million of net inflows on Sept. 3, following monthly inflows of $365.17 million in July and $1.85 billion in August; September inflows totaled $104.26 million to date. A Coldcard-linked hacker also swapped about 10% of stolen Bitcoin for Ether through THORChain, leaving 90% untouched. AMBCrypto reported that ETH later stalled near $2,458, leaving $2,500 unestablished as firm support.
