QuFi Network Limited launched its QuFi Platform on Sept. 4, 2026, adding a post-quantum verification layer above existing blockchain settlement networks. The architecture separates transaction verification from settlement: decentralized nodes use post-quantum cryptography to validate activity and generate proofs before an existing blockchain completes settlement. Its first demonstration used uBTC, a proof-of-concept token on Bitcoin Testnet4. The system verifies Bitcoin collateral, constrains transfers between settlement environments and completes redemptions as standard Bitcoin transactions. QuFi uses ML-DSA-65 and SLH-DSA for digital signatures and ML-KEM-1024 for secure key exchange. Moving verification outside individual blockchains is intended to avoid the larger storage, bandwidth and computing requirements associated with directly deploying post-quantum signatures. QuFi opened its Genesis Node Program and identified EVM ecosystems, Stellar and Solana as target networks. The launch comes as StarkWare, financial institutions, regulators and Bitcoin developers pursue other quantum-resistance approaches, including the experimental SHRINCS signature proposal. Key tests for QuFi will include proof performance, interoperability across wallets and networks, and expansion beyond testnet.
