Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, said on September 3 that it is partnering with Mesh to let its 80 million users pay on Mesh-powered platforms directly from their Bybit balances. Through Bybit Pay, users can select the service at checkout or when topping up an account without withdrawing funds or manually converting assets. Mesh-connected businesses can access Bybit’s global customer base through their existing integration, avoiding the need to build a separate onramp. Bybit’s payment rails perform conversion and settlement in the background, allowing merchants to receive one asset while customers spend another. Bybit Pay became available to businesses on Mesh starting today. The deal expands Bybit’s payments strategy, which includes joining Mastercard’s Crypto Credential network and adding regional partners. The companies’ move comes as stablecoins and other digital assets enter everyday commerce and exchanges compete more directly with traditional fintechs in payments. The effect of the integration on merchant adoption remains uncertain, but it gives Bybit another way to connect users with spending platforms without leaving its ecosystem.
