The onchain market capitalization of tokenized stocks has surpassed $3.1 billion, rising from about $1.7 billion at the end of June, $2.3 billion in mid-July and $2.9 billion in August. BNB Chain accounts for more than $1 billion of the total, while its tokenized-stock and ETF products have generated more than $5 billion in cumulative trading volume. Binance's bStocks, launched on June 11, issues BEP-20 tokens backed 1:1 by U.S. stocks and ETFs and reached $100 million in assets under management within two weeks. By late August, bStocks had recorded more than $19 billion in cumulative volume and offered exposure to more than 700 assets. The market's growth builds on earlier evidence of accelerating activity: weekly tokenized-equity spot volume reached about $3 billion in August 2026, while onchain total value locked across major stock-token protocols exceeded $110 million. Tokenized equities trade continuously, permit fractional exposure and can be used in lending, automated market makers and onchain index products, though only about 5% of the market is currently deployed in onchain finance.
