Tata Consultancy Services subsidiary HyperVault and its partners will invest up to 700 billion rupees ($7.41 billion) to develop a 1-gigawatt artificial intelligence data center campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. HyperVault has secured 264 acres for the project, which will be built in phases and serve AI companies and hyperscalers requiring high-density GPU capacity for model training and inference. At full buildout, the campus is expected to rank among India’s largest AI infrastructure facilities. The development adds to TCS’s broader Infrastructure-to-Intelligence strategy and comes days after the company agreed to buy Porsche AG’s automotive and consulting unit MHP. Earlier project materials put the investment at roughly $8.2 billion; the latest rupee-to-dollar conversion cited by Reuters is $7.41 billion. Existing plans also include green energy, a water-neutral design and up to 7,000 direct and indirect jobs, while Telangana had previously set a June 2, 2028 completion target.
