Vitalik Buterin has published an updated draft of EIP-8141, a proposed Ethereum transaction format that would let wallets combine up to 64 ordered operations into a single atomic transaction. The Frame Transactions design is intended to make actions such as token approvals and swaps execute together, while also supporting key rotation, account recovery, sponsored gas fees and P256 signatures used by passkeys and phone security hardware. The draft is described as heading toward Hegotá, Ethereum's next upgrade after Glamsterdam, but earlier accounts said developers had not formally approved EIP-8141 for a mainnet upgrade or assigned an activation date. Client teams have set no activation date. ETH traded near $2,512 on Sunday, about 49% higher over 90 days, while the Glamsterdam gas-limit push is scheduled to arrive first in the fourth quarter of 2026.
