Lotte Engineering & Construction has been selected to redevelop the Dogok Woosung apartment complex in Seoul’s Gangnam district, lifting its urban redevelopment contracts this year to 4.011 trillion won. The 400.2 billion won project will comprise four buildings with six underground floors and 26 above-ground floors, totaling 566 households and ancillary welfare facilities. Lotte E&C plans to apply its premium Le El residential brand and has proposed Dogok Le El as the project name. JERDE will collaborate on the exterior design, while planned amenities include a sky lounge, walking paths, a lawn plaza and gardens. The site is near schools, parks, Yangjae Stream, Gangnam Severance Hospital, the Seocho District Office, the Gyeongbu Expressway and Yangjae Station, with wider transport access expected after the Great Train Express (GTX)-C line opens. The contract is Lotte E&C’s sixth urban redevelopment win this year. The builder said it will pursue major redevelopment projects in Gangnam and Mokdong, along with public redevelopment projects.
