People Power Party lawmakers have raised questions about the Korean Child Development Social Cooperative, which employed Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won’s wife and two children and operated A School, an unapproved full-day facility for children with developmental disabilities. The cooperative generated approximately 878 million Korean won in government voucher revenue from 2022 through 2025, while wages paid to the family totaled about 330 million won, and A School charged 12 students about 2.3 million won per month. The allegations also concern hiring procedures, the facility’s use of the term school and the family’s income, while Kim’s confirmation hearing team said it would provide a comprehensive response later.
