Robinhood Markets shares closed at $122.11 on Sept. 4, down 2.09%, despite ARK Invest buying 28,589 shares through its ARK Genomic Revolution ETF, a purchase valued at about $3.49 million. The latest disclosure also showed ARK funds buying 3,392 shares of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF for about $28,120, alongside additional purchases of Veracyte, Intellia Therapeutics and Twist Bioscience and the sale of 20,180 Tempus AI shares. The trading activity came as stronger-than-expected U.S. employment data pressured Wall Street and increased expectations for a Federal Reserve rate increase at its September meeting. The decline followed Robinhood’s 16.57% gain in the prior session and came amid AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron’s criticism of Robinhood’s tokenized equity products and CEO Vlad Tenev’s defense of tokenization. Robinhood’s Stock Tokens provide economic exposure without ownership of the underlying shares and are issued as tokenized debt securities by Robinhood Assets Jersey Limited. The company’s second-quarter revenue rose 32% to $1.31 billion, while crypto revenue fell 38% to $100 million.
