The on-chain market capitalization of tokenized stocks reached $3.1 billion in early September 2026 after starting the year below $1 billion, while Grayscale Investments reported that weekly spot trading volume peaked near $3 billion in early August. Token Terminal's dashboard put the market at roughly $3 billion, with Ondo Finance leading issuers at about $947 million, followed by xStocks and bStocks. BNB Chain leads tokenized-stock issuance, while Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Solana captured most trading turnover. Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet on July 1 using Arbitrum technology and offers eligible users in more than 120 countries access to Stock Tokens through Robinhood Wallet. Tokenized-stock trading is expanding faster than decentralized-finance use: total value locked in related protocols exceeded $110 million, but Grayscale estimated only about 5% of the market is deployed in onchain financial applications. Tokenized stocks can provide economic exposure without granting the legal rights associated with directly held shares.
