Zcash's ZEC briefly traded near $1,250 on September 7 after rising nearly 12% over 24 hours and more than 45% over seven days. CoinGecko placed the privacy token near $1,193 after it climbed from below $1,100, extending a breakout above $1,000 that began on September 4. Grayscale's ZCSH spot ETF, which started trading on NYSE Arca on August 25, had attracted at least $34.4 million of net inflows by September 4 and has since reached about $463 million in net assets. The rally has triggered substantial short liquidations and left further leveraged-position clusters between $1,215 and $1,280, according to CoinGlass data. Technical indicators remained bullish, with ZEC above its 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day exponential moving averages, though the token faced immediate resistance near its $1,249 high and the 4-hour upper Bollinger Band around $1,255. Crypto Patel's weekly cup-and-handle analysis identified a potential $2,200 measured-move target, close to the reported $2,292 liquidation price for Garrett Jin's on-chain ZEC short. Zcash's privacy features, increased shielded-pool use and a September 14 coinholder poll on the proposed NU7 upgrade remain part of the broader demand and development narrative.
