CJ CheilJedang opened a Global Technical Center in Singapore’s Biopolis research district on September 1, strengthening its business-to-business seasoning-ingredients operations across the Asia-Pacific region. Officials from the Singapore Economic Development Board and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore attended the opening ceremony. The facility helps customers apply ingredients including TasteNrich, CJ TIDE and AdMe Nucleotide Solution to develop products with targeted taste and flavor profiles, and supports commercialization through product launches. It is the company’s fourth overseas technical support hub, following facilities in Korea, Chicago and Wageningen, the Netherlands. Singapore will serve as the regional base for customized application technology and collaboration with food manufacturers from the product-development stage. CJ CheilJedang plans to expand cooperation around TasteNrich, a premium seasoning ingredient made by fermenting naturally derived materials such as sugar cane and used to reduce sodium and other additives while maintaining taste. From September 2 to 4, the company hosted major customers from neighboring markets to present its seasoning and nutrition ingredients and food-application solutions.
