GMO Coin will extend the minimum time required for Litecoin (LTC) deposits to appear in account balances from 10 minutes to 100 minutes at noon on September 16, 2026. The change applies to deposits received from that time and does not affect transfers of LTC from GMO Coin to external destinations. The exchange said the measure is intended to improve deposit reliability amid block reorganizations on the LTC blockchain, in which previously generated blocks can be replaced by an alternative chain and transactions may become unconfirmed. Litecoin has experienced several stability-related incidents since early 2026, including an MWEB validation vulnerability exploited for an illicit peg-out of about 85,034 LTC in March and a related attack that led to 13 blocks being rolled back on April 25. The longer confirmation window will delay trading or withdrawals after deposits but is intended to reduce the risk of balances being reversed following a reorganization.
