David Hoffman, Bankless co-founder, sold his ETH holdings in June and bought VVV, NEAR, ZEC, HYPE and LIT. DeFi researcher Ignas said Hoffman later rotated into several of the period’s best-performing tokens, including LIT and ZEC, while NEAR also performed well and VVV lagged the broader market. Ignas noted that the moves came amid widespread fear, uncertainty and doubt, and close to what appeared to be an ETH market bottom, but said active crypto investors ultimately seek to outperform BTC and ETH.
