NVIDIA is expanding beyond selling AI semiconductors through a large equity portfolio, financing commitments, payment guarantees, partnerships and acquisitions. Disclosures dated July 26 put its equity investments at $99 billion, with another $25 billion committed for future investments. Public holdings fell from $63.44 billion at June 30 to $46.43 billion by early September, largely because its Intel position declined from about $30 billion to roughly $19 billion. FactSet valued NVIDIA’s 163 private investments at approximately $48 billion, led by a $30 billion OpenAI investment made at a $730 billion valuation and a commitment of up to $10 billion to Anthropic at a valuation of about $350 billion. NVIDIA also invested in Safe Superintelligence, Poolside, Reflection AI and SB Energy. Its latest quarterly revenue was $96.22 billion, up 105.9% year over year, while earnings per share reached $2.22. Analysts maintain a Moderate Buy consensus with a $324.83 average price target. The company’s broader strategy includes customer financing, $108.5 billion in payment guarantees, the proposed $12.93 billion Hugging Face acquisition and AI infrastructure partnerships, creating additional exposure to technology valuations, customer credit and data-center spending.
