Cozy Finance suffered a reported exploit of about $160,000 involving the UMA Optimistic Oracle, after an attacker submitted a false price proposal that was not challenged and triggered compensation payouts. Crypto commentator @SlowMist_Team highlighted the incident, which has renewed attention on security controls for DeFi protocols that rely on oracle-fed contract outcomes. The account differs from earlier tracking by Blockaid, which described an approximately $170,000 drain on Optimism involving the unverified Cozy Set (CSET) token contract. In that incident, about 163,326 USDC.e moved through 63 transfers and was bridged out within 13 minutes, while roughly 1.6 million Cozy PToken (CPT) were burned. Cozy Finance had previously lost about $427,000 in an August 2025 Optimism exploit tied to a withdrawal-code flaw. The latest reported incident could prompt renewed scrutiny of oracle validation, protocol safeguards and risk across decentralized-finance markets.
