Arkham attributed 3.43 million PONS worth about $2.4 million to Wintermute, making the algorithmic market maker a sizable newly identified holder of the Robinhood Chain launchpad token. The balance represents about 0.48% of PONS’ 712.1 million circulating supply and 0.34% of its original 1 billion supply, based on CoinGecko figures. Arkham said on Sept. 5 that Wintermute appeared to be accumulating PONS gradually through a time-weighted strategy and had then held more than $3 million worth. Pons is the leading memecoin launchpad on Robinhood Chain, which went live on July 1, 2026, and the platform leads the ecosystem in trading volume and daily active addresses. PONS serves as Pons’ governance and utility token; its price rose from about $0.003 in mid-July to above $0.50 by early September, while launchpad revenue supports token buybacks and burns. Arkham did not confirm whether Wintermute has a market-making mandate, leaving the purpose of the position unresolved. Arkham also listed 6.46 million PONS in a Uniswap V3 pool and 5.58 million in Uniswap’s PoolManager contract. Uniswap Labs separately purchased PONS for what the project called long-term alignment, but the purchase size, price and wallet were not disclosed.
