UST completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Italdesign from Audi Group on September 7, 2026.
UST has more than 30,000 employees across more than 30 countries, while Italdesign has more than 1,300 professionals across 10 international locations.
Italdesign will retain its name, values and multidisciplinary capabilities as the companies combine automotive design, engineering, software and AI.

UST has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Italdesign from Audi Group, combining the Italian company’s automotive design and engineering heritage with UST’s expertise in AI, digital engineering, software-defined vehicles and technology transformation. Announced on September 7, 2026, in Aliso Viejo, California, and Moncalieri, Italy, the partnership is intended to help automakers manage the complexity of connected, software-defined and AI-enabled vehicles and accelerate development from concept through production. Italdesign will continue operating under its own name, values and multidisciplinary approach while gaining access to UST’s global scale, technology expertise and client relationships.
