Hoymiles has launched its V2X DC Charger, designed to work with the HiOne All-in-One BESS (battery energy storage system) and connect solar generation, storage, electric vehicles and the grid. The bidirectional charger supports Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), allowing an EV to provide backup power during grid outages, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), enabling peak shaving and virtual power plant (VPP) participation. Direct DC charging from photovoltaic panels and battery storage bypasses the EV’s onboard charger and reduces conversion losses. The charger delivers up to 22 kW, adding approximately 110 kilometers of driving range in one hour versus approximately 35 kilometers from a conventional AC charger, and supports 95% of mainstream EVs. It also includes an integrated EU MID-certified meter, IP65 protection and IK10 impact protection, while the Hoymiles app provides green power and fast charging modes.
